The latest report claims there’s a design update coming which omits a favorite choice but brings some of the biggest changes in year to the way they look.
The gold Pro iPhones have always sort of been my favorite. Too blingy and shiny for some, I love the glossy brightness, the gaudy, in-your-face opulence. But I get that the switch to the matte finish which comes so naturally to titanium might have made a gold-tinted version a less good fit.
It also looks like deep purple will vanish from the 2023 range of Pro iPhones. This is less of a surprise as Apple routinely runs its hero color for just one year, like the Sierra Blue iPhone 13 Pro, for instance. Which leave us where? The report claims that there will be silver and space black options – this is hardly surprising and will work well with titanium. The space black titanium Apple Watch Edition from Series 7 looked stunning.
Then there’s a dark blue color which I can also see would work well with titanium. Finally, 9to5Mac reports that there will be a fourth color, which could be called titan gray. I’m not quite sure about that name, but we’ll see. It seems it will be a sort of raw titanium look, darker than silver but way lighter than space black. I would imagine it would most closely replace the titanium of the Apple Watch Ultra.
