Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown on Wednesday spoke to reporters for the first time since his arrest for speeding on Aug. 3.
Marquise"Hollywood" Brown still has legal matters to deal with following his arrest for speeding on the 101 freeway in north Phoenix two weeks ago.
"Just learn from it, you know, I'm not a guy to get in trouble. So I'll just put it in my past and make sure I'm always doing the right things at all right times," Brown said. Brown opened training camp on the non-football injury list with a minor hamstring problem, and the day before his arrest was activated for practice. He was released from jail the same day he was arrested, and reported to camp the next day.
"There's always going to be growing pains the first year in the offense, but like I said all along, his familiarity with the offense based on his college experience definitely helps, and then his comfort level with the quarterback is huge," Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury said."He'll feel more and more comfortable as it goes along, and then I expect by Week 1 for him to understand what we're trying to accomplish.
•In the latest episode of HBO's"Hard Knocks" reality TV series, a brief scene previewing the in-season version of the show, which will feature the Cardinals starting in November, shows Kingsbury sitting at a desk in an empty room looking intently at a computer screen. The clip was filmed at State Farm Stadium."It looked like I was doing a lot, didn't it?" Kingsbury joked."It looked like I was in prison.
