An estimated over 40,000 Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks fans are expected to descend on the city as police prepare to keep visitors safe.
Arlington, home to the baseball stadium, is no stranger to large crowds. The city also houses AT&T Stadium, where the Dallas Cowboys play and fans sawRoss said the city will “do everything possible under the sun” to ensure its visitors have a safe and enjoyable time in Arlington. When the stadium opened in 2020, safety and security, fan comfort, transportation and impact on the surrounding infrastructure were considered, he said.
“Will you see an enhancement of police inside and outside the stadium? Of course you will,” Rollins said. “This is going to be a much larger event. The security profile is bigger. This is a national event and, in some cases, international.”
