An armored truck security guard was shot Tuesday afternoon during an attempted robbery in the Roseland neighborhoood on the Far South Side.
Officers responded about Tuesday afternoon when the robbery of a Loomis armored vehicle was reported in the 0-100 block of West 87th Street, according to Chicago police.
One of the guards was reportedly shot and taken by their partner to Roseland Hospital. Their condition was not immediately known.All the news you need to know, every day
