Investors will be watching out for Chinese gross domestic product data for the second quarter, set to be released at 10:00 a.m. HK/SIN, for clues as to whether policy makers will introduce more stimulus measures in the coming months.
"Chinese June quarter GDP is expected to show a slowing in annual growth to 6.2%, from 6.4% in the prior quarter," Diana Mousina, senior economist at AMP Capital, wrote in a note last Friday.
