The team stranded 10 baserunners and, before Brantley’s single, was 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position. Bumgarner made one blatant mistake. Jose Siri made him rue it. The Astros’ energetic center fielder crushed Bumgarner’s hanging curveball for a 456-foot solo home run in the fifth, finishing the swing with a bat flip and a stutter step before he jogged up the first-base line. Siri started the ninth-inning rally with a two-out double, too.
