More than two dozen people were injured after a University of Maryland - College Park bus crashed Wednesday morning.
A University of Maryland bus reportedly crashed into a light pole in College Park on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2023 after a University of Maryland - College Park bus crashed Wednesday morning, according to Prince George's County officials.
Authorities said they received a report at around 10:20 a.m. about a single-vehicle crash involving a bus that hit a light pole in the southbound lane of Baltimore Avenue near the off-ramp to University Boulevard, according to Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department and the University of Maryland Police Department.
Authorities said 27 people were hurt, one of whom was a pedestrian. All were treated for minor injuries. The University of Maryland Police Department, as well as Prince George's County police, are both investigating.
