After signing highly touted offensive tackle Kam Dewberry from the Eagles’ 2022 class, Texas A&M snagged a commitment from the other side of the ball Monday night.
Three-star defensive tackle Samu Taumanupepe made his verbal pledge to the Aggies over Texas, Houston, TCU and Baylor, among other schools. He first announced his offer from Texas A&M on Twitter a couple days ago. Taumanupepe is ranked as the No. 109 defensive lineman in the country by 247Sports. He is the No. 176 overall player in Texas.
Taumanupepe was a first-team all-district selection for Atascocita as a junior. He is the second 2023 player from the Houston area to commit to Texas A&M, joining Paetow four-star linebacker Daymion Sanford., the top-rated player at his position in the country.
