Streaming service Audiomack unveils a novel feature that will enable loyal fans to tip their favorite artist’s music.

Dubbed “Supporters” and announced today , the innovation works both ways by creating a new revenue stream for recording artists, while giving fans a much deeper connection with their music heroes. According to a statement, participating artists will be able to engage with fans on the release of new content, give thanks by way of a variety of messaging options, and deliver exclusive content and rarities.Within the program, supporters are ranked either “First” , “Top” and “Latest” .With this new offering, “Audiomack is treating artists as they see themselves — as entrepreneurs building profitable careers,” comments Macli in a statement.
To get on board, artists must apply for and gain access to Audiomack Monetization Program , which combines all revenues and distributes to artists by stream count; or distribute their music to Audiomack through participating partners, which include WMG, Amuse, AudioSalad Direct, DistroKid, EMPIRE, FUGA, Stem, and Vydia.
“More than ever, there’s demand both from fans who want to demonstrate their passion and support their favorite artists, and from artists looking to better engage with their superfans,” said Allan Coye, senior vp, digital strategy & business development at WMG. “Audiomack’s Supporters feature will help build these relationships and allow artists and fans to connect in new, meaningful ways.”
