The Aurora City Council is set to vote on a permit for a marijuana dispensary at Broadway and New York Street downtown.

City Council members put the conditional use permit for 35 N. Broadway on the consent agenda for the council’s Tuesday meeting, meaning it is likely to be approved.

Harris was part of the group that sued the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, which awards the licenses, saying the licensing procedure was flawed and did not properly consider the necessary factors when awarding social equity licenses.
