A special night at the Mohawk celebrates the life and art of print master Frank Kozik.
at the age of 61, he did not simply leave behind an incredible body of work created during his years as the go-to poster artist for Austin's underground bands in the 80s and 90s.
He also left a global impact on the art print and collectibles scene, a legacy that is seen in the ubiquity of high-end vinyl figures and silkscreen printed poster art for bands, games, and movies. To celebrate both aspects of his career, the Austin Museum of Popular Culture is hosting a celebration of his work and of the man at Mohawk at 8pm on May 31. The evening will feature both a special display of some of Kozik's most famous and rarely seen works from the AusPop archive, but also a special panel discussion featuring his peers and friends.

Next, the duo discuss the new special teams rule on kickoffs, which is meant to reduce concussions, and Thursday Night Football flexing. The reaction to both of these developments has been overblown, as the impact on the game will not be as high as most assume.
