A line of storms are expected to hit the area around 5 p.m. There is a moderate to high risk of quarter- to baseball-sized hail in parts of the region, with storms expected to clear the area by 10 p.m.The National Weather Service has upgraded Central Texas to a Level 3, enhanced risk, of severe weather, which could mean very large hail, damaging winds, and possibly even an isolated tornado on Friday, April 28.
A cold front will clash with the warm and humid air and something will give in the atmosphere. Storms are likely Friday evening along with severe weather. A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Gillespie, Hays, Blanco, Travis and Williamson Counties until 5:45 p.m.A flood advisory has been issued for Hays, Blanco, Travis, Llano, Burnet, and Williamson County until 8:45 p.m.
After the front pushes through the storms are out of here by midnight and cooler, drier and windy times are ahead going into the first half of the weekend.
