John Legend arrives at the Los Angeles premiere of"Between Two Ferns: The Movie" at ArcLight Hollywood on Sept. 16, 2019.Will Breman, a 25-year-old singer and guitarist from Santa Barbara, California, performed “Say You’ll be There” in the season 17 Blind Auditions on Monday night, and he couldn't have hoped for a better start.
Breman battles with Asperger's syndrome and music helps him find his happy place. "I'm on the autism spectrum, I had pretty limited interests," he said in his intro clip. “Music became my biggest solace, and helped me express my feelings in a way that would otherwise not come naturally to me."When asked who is influences are, the contestant name-checked one of the coaches,What could be better than getting to meet your hero? Singing a song with him, naturally.
Legend suggested the contestant join in on his 2004 song “Ordinary People,” for an impromptu moment that had“I’m so mad right now. You’re going to make it to the finale, you’re incredible,”
