Disney CEO Bob Iger teases the Avengers team that will assemble in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, indicating that it will focus on newer MCU heroes.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will feature a mostly new team of MCU heroes according to Disney CEO Bob Iger. Marvel Studios announced plans for more Avengers movies last year, three years after the release of Avengers: Endgame. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Michael Waldron , Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is set for release in 2025.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Walt Disney Studios CEO Bob Iger has now offered a big tease about the state of the Avengers team in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, as he indicates a whole new group will assemble. During an appearance at Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecom Conference , Iger spoke about Marvel's future and briefly teased which MCU heroes will be on Avengers 5's team.

There’s nothing in any way inherently off in terms of the Marvel brand. I think we just have to look at what characters and stories we’re mining. If you look at the trajectory of Marvel in the next five years, there will be a lot of newness. We’re going to turn back to the Avengers franchise with a whole new set of Avengers, for example.

Bob Iger's quote does not necessarily mean that already established heroes who have worked with the Avengers will not return. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty could still see Spider-Man, Sam Wilson's Captain America, Captain Marvel, Shuri's Black Panther, and others be leaders on the team. They have each played roles in past Avengers movies, but they have each become more important to the franchise since then.

Marvel Studios has no shortage of characters at its disposal, but not all of them are likely to be on the Avengers 5 team. Unless they assemble elsewhere first, the movie will be tasked with bringing the Avengers team together for the first time since Avengers: Endgame. Creating a group dynamic among dozens of heroes will not be easy, especially since most of them have not shared meaningful time with one another.

DeSantis' new Disney World board hints at future controversyDeSantis' new Disney World board hints at future controversyLAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) — The first meeting of the new board of Walt Disney World’s government — overhauled by sweeping legislation signed by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis as punishment for Disney publicly challenging Florida's so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill — dealt with the rote affairs any other municipal government would handle: calls for better firefighter equipment, lessons on public records requests and bond ratings.
