Ayala: Texas voters may face more obstacles at the polls thanks to the Legislature’s SB1

She says today’s climate is figuratively chillier as Texas voters prepare to head to the polls Monday for early voting in the nation’s midterm elections. Camarillo says some of the uptick in registered voters happened after the U.S. Supreme Court reversed abortion rights established in the 1973 Roe vs. Wade ruling.

They made it harder to register voters, to get them to the polls and to elect candidates of their choice.
