Negron., at 10:25 a.m. Shirley Community Ambulance personnel arrived shortly after to cut the umbilical cord and transported the healthy mother and baby to Stony Brook University Hospital.
Owen weighed a healthy 6 pounds and 13 ounces. Mom, who is at home resting with Owen, said everyone's fast response prevented her from delivering on her own.
