YerinBaek Cancels New York Concert After Testing Positive For COVID-19
As part of a collaboration with Lincoln Center, the Korean Cultural Center New York was originally scheduled to host two K-Indie Music Nights at Damrosch Park this week—the second of which was a free concert by Baek Yerin on July 20.
However, on July 17 local time, the Korean Cultural Center New York announced that Baek Yerin’s concert had been cancelled “due to a confirmed case of COVID-19 among the performers.” That same day, Baek Yerin took to Instagram to personally apologize to her fans and share the news that she had been diagnosed with COVID-19.I’m truly sorry! It was already evening when my COVID test results came back positive. I wanted to show you good things, but because I’m unable to sing right now, I’m no longer able to go. You must have been waiting [for the concert], so I’m really sorry.Thank you so much for your lovely words of concert and your encouragement.
