UPDATE: BART service has been restored between Concord and Pleasant Hill stations following an earlier grass fire, the agency says. There is still a major delay in service on the Antioch line in the SFO Airport and Antioch directions.
SAN FRANCISCO -- BART service has resumed between Concord and Pleasant Hill stations after multiple grass fires in the area prompted a closure, the agency tweeted Tuesday morning.
Riders should still expect major delays on the Antioch line in the SFO Airport and Antioch directions.Crews continue to inspect key equipment in the area of the earlier fires. There is a grass fire in the area of our Concord Yard and the fire department is on scene. We’ve had to drop power in the area which also means we can’t dispatch additional trains from the yard to serve our yellow line at this time.
