The story of a thief who appears to have forgotten his keys at the scene of the crime has gone viral.
On the evening of July 25, someone broke into the Johnny Doughnuts corporate office in San Rafael and stole a few hundred dollars in cash as well as some electronics, founder Craig Blum told SFGATE. A driver arriving back late from an event noticed something was amiss when she saw keys were strewn haphazardly around the office.shows the alleged thief leaving the office, then returning 10 minutes later, appearing to have forgotten his keys.
"I thought the guy must have been like really high or something," said Blum."... He popped back in again 10 minutes later and he does the same thing, rifling around and then grabs some keys and leaves. He might have had a truck that looked just like our truck or something, and grabbed the wrong set of keys.
asking for the community's help with identifying the individual. The incident has since gone globally viral."It must have hit 400 news outlets throughout the country," Blum said."Like Billings, Montana, Wyoming, Arizona, people called me from Portland that I know and were like, 'Oh my god, your office got broken into!' It's kind of wild."
