Bellevue Parks & Community Services has launched an off-leash dog area pilot program at three parks.

Each facility is fenced, and has double entry gates, trash cans, and waste bags so you can pick up after your pet.

The areas may become permanent depending on how much they are used, community feedback, construction costs, and other factors.“I normally have to drive him, which takes a lot out of my day, to a dog park where he can actually run around freely. This is convenient. I come here twice a day now,” said dog owner Biatris.

If the off-leash areas become permanent, features like water fountains, shelters, and dog washes may be added.
