Top events in metro Phoenix this weekend include record store parties, a wine walk downtown and a live show with Linda Ronstadt's go-to mariachi band.
Record Store Day will celebrate its 16th anniversary on Saturday, April 22 at independent record shops around the world, including several here in metro Phoenix.
Last year's Record Store Day Ambassador Taylor Swift is dropping one of this year's hottest titles, a two-record gray vinyl edition of"Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions." Among the metro Phoenix record stores taking part in this year's celebration are five Zia Record Exchange locations, Stinkweeds, The 'In' Groove, Asylum Records, Grace Records, Vinyl Record Dude, Uncle Aldo's Attic, the Record Room, Tracks in Wax, Candy & Records and Rock This Town Records.and visit the individual local record stores' websites to see what they have planned.
Participating businesses include Garden Bar PHX, Crescent Ballroom, Hidden Track Bottle Shop, GenuWine Arizona, Wren & Wolf, Eden Rooftop Bar at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix and more.
