In an effort to make strides in improving the climate of the industry, the American Economics Association hasa ban on candidate interviews in hotel rooms during its upcoming annual meeting in San Diego. The news comes less than a year after Ben Bernanke, a former Fed Chairman, spoke frankly about the gendered state of the industry at another AEA meeting.
The economics industry isn’t the first to tackle this practice. Just last year, in response to the Weinstein scandal, the Screen Actors Guild announced
