"The name of the brand comes from where I built my strength and endurance as a young woman. I ran and trained in the park, and that state of mind has stayed with me all these years later. It’s the first place where I learned to listen to my body," she said. "Many of us grew up seeing our parents act as if they were superheroes. Most women have been conditioned to ignore symptoms and just 'tough it out' and focus on taking care of everyone else before themselves.
The one body-related thing Bey can't stand? When people ask if she's pregnant. "Get off my ovaries!" she said. Beyoncé's words are inspiring for many reasons, but with so many people looking up to her, it's refreshing to hear her share how she copes with the things we all go through. Of course, Bey doesn't owe us these bits of her life, but when someone so reveredabout weight, self-care, or any other topic that so many of us can struggle with, it feels like we can take a collective sigh of relief.
