Massive piles of trash, feces, found strewn across Big Bend Park after black bear raids campsite
Courtesy of NPS/JGablaskiAlong a trail at Big Bend National Park this past weekend, visitors discovered an unsightly heap of trash composed of plastic bags, Pringles containers — even human feces.
Upon hearing reports of the waste Saturday, park rangers dispatched from Big Bend's Panther Junction Visitor Center quickly picked up the mess, according to a Facebook post from the park. Established in 1944 in Far West Texas on a plot of land larger than the state of Rhode Island, Big Bend National Park often has been called"Texas' gift to the nation."
