Bill Maher predicted that former President Donald Trump will be at the presidential inauguration in January 2025 — whether he wins in 2024 or not.
The comedian and pundit made the prediction while speaking in an interview with Chris Cuomo on the debut episode of the latter's NewsNation show, CUOMO, recorded on Friday.Maher was asked what the biggest problem facing the country is, to which he answered the environment and democracy. When pressed by Cuomo which problem was more immediate, Maher said democracy.
“The more immediate one is democracy. That’s not, you know, five years, 10 years; that’s a few years away because trust me, in January of 2025, Donald Trump is going to show up for the inauguration whether he wins or not,” Maher said"Of course he’s going to run again. Are you kidding? He thinks about nothing but. It’s everything he loves. It’s — it’s a fight, it’s revenge. He hasn’t given up on the — he hasn’t conceded the last election. Of course he’s going to run again.
Maher in his prediction also said"anything is possible" on the matter of Trump's odds of winning in 2024 if he advances past the GOP primary. Trump has heavily teased another run for the White House but has not yet declared a campaign.
