Anthony Kern, a member of the state Senate, told conservative radio host Seth Leibsohn on Oct. 23 that he was interested in running for Congress in the 8th District. Speaker of the Arizona House Ben Toma is also considering a run for the seat. Lake’s endorsement of Hamadeh comes after the last cycle when Lake and Masters often hit the trail together as a “unity ticket” and were promoting each other on social media. In the last couple weeks of the general election, Masters frequently appeared as an opening act for Lake at campaign rallies.
