The teen’s vision continued to worsen over the next two years, and by age 17, his visual acuity had declined toHe was found to have a problem with his optic nerve, but tests didn’t point to an obvious cause. "However, the patient confessed that, since elementary school, he would not eat certain textures of food," the authors wrote."He had a daily portion of fries from the local fish and chip shop and snacked on Pringles, white bread, processed ham slices and sausages."
He was given nutritional supplements, and his vision stopped getting worse, though it didn't improve.
