Negotiation with Iran to revive 2015 nuclear deal can't go on indefinitely, says US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Kuwait, as Tehran blames 'cowardly' Washington for pause in talks
US wants to see what Iran is willing to do and remains"fully prepared" to return to Vienna to continue negotiations, says top US diplomat Antony Blinken in Kuwait.
"We're committed to diplomacy, but this process cannot go on indefinitely... we look to see what Iran is ready to do or not ready to do and remain fully prepared to return to Vienna to continue negotiations," Blinken said during a visit to Kuwait on Thursday.The US is indirectly involved in Iran's talks with world powers to revive a nuclear deal that gave Iran some relief from international sanctions in exchange for limits on its nuclear programme.
"They once violated the nuclear deal at no cost by exiting it. Now they explicitly say that they cannot give guarantees that it would not happen again."
