While still on baking sheet, immediately cut into 1- by 2-in. rectangles, but do not move or handle. Let cool completely, about 30 minutes.
When cookies are cool, whisk together blood orange juice and remaining 1 1⁄4 cups confectioners’ sugar. Dip cooled cookies into glaze and place on parchment to dry. Store covered at room temperature.
