Bode and Morgan Millers' daughter drowned last June in a neighbor's pool.
In a water safety advocacy video posted to social media, Miller alongside mom and water safety advocate Nicole Hughes shared that they met because both of their children died due to drowning on the same day. Miller then shared how her daughter had too much brain damage to survive.
"Time is not on our side when it comes to water," said the professional volleyball player."And even though my daughter was resuscitated, there was too much damage to her brain for her to survive." Miller and Hughes' video called for parents to be extra vigilant ahead of the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
"You know, for both of our children, it was during a time when they slipped away for just seconds and out of rooms filled with people," Hughes said.
