Rep. Lauren Boebert, Colorado Republican, has joined the ranks of GOP members who say they won’t support a stopgap bill that would extend the spending budget deadline.
The government’s budget expires Sept. 30, and the House has submitted only four of 12 appropriations bills. A stopgap bill, also known as a continuing resolution, has been suggested to keep the government from shutting down.
Montana Republican Rep. Matt Rosendale, also on X, wrote, “For months, I have made it very clear that I will not be supporting a CR. A CR is a continuation of Nancy Pelosi’s budget and Joe Biden’s policies.” “No policy riders in the CR. So it’s all the policies from last year’s Democrat appropriations, with an 8% cut,” Republican Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene wrote on X. “Plus the border bill, but no E-Verify. I’m a NO. No money for Ukraine, COVID or weaponized gov.”
