After a flurry of reports, the official Bond team tried to redirect fan attention by releasing a behind-the-scenes video showing Craig and the rest of the cast and crew on set in Jamaica—a subtle way of telling everyone to calm down, and that things are still on track.
Malek, too, tried to throw cold water on the reports, saying everything was coming together again after Craig’s recovery. “With a franchise like this, I think they have it together,” he told Digital Spy. “They have it figured out by now.” Bond 25 is still slated to hit theaters on April 8, 2020.
