Arlington student died after being shot outside of Lamar High SchoolAnd it was nearly a year ago when the mass shooting at Robb Elementary in Uvalde killed 19 children and two teachers.

At Townview, which is home to several magnet schools, dozens of signs peppered the crowd, stating “Protect children, not guns;” “schools are for learning, not lockdowns;” and “I want to attend graduation, not a funeral.”One student called on classmates to rally in support of legislation that prevents other mass shootings from happening in Texas schools.
