Some East County residents are being allowed to return to their homes after evacuating due to the Border 32 Fire
DULZURA, Calif. – More than 400 firefighters are battling a brush fire that erupted near Highway 94 and Barret Lake in Dulzura and has prompted road closures and evacuations to some homes in the area.
The Fire Chief says the fire is not expanding, but extreme heat conditions will be difficult for firefighters working to put it out. As of Thursday evening, the fire was 14% contained. Residents returning to Potrero must enter from east State Route 94 and those returning from Dulzura need to enter from west State Route 94.This @ReadySanDiego map shows the areas affected by the #Border32Fire. Residents needing a place to take their large animals can go to the San Diego County Animal Shelter at 5821 Sweetwater Road in Bonita. For additional information, call the County Animal Services at 619-236-2341.Due to the fire, the Mountain Empire Unified School District and Jamul-Dulzura Union School District will be closed Friday.#Update #Border32Fire
