If you recall, a big sticking point in the summer of 2018 was Chris Pine and Chris Hemsworth wanting the big paydays they were promised beforeStar Trek 4
at that time was intended to bring back Hemsworth as Kirk’s dead dad, and both wanted Paramount to honor the promised bucks even after the third movie stalled. I argued at the time that Pine and Hemsworth should just take the pay cut, as it was still a prime franchise gig in a time when neither “star” could open an envelope outside of their marquee roles. Maybebombing changed Hemsworth’s mind , or maybe Pine realized that “less of a lot” was better than “none of a lot.
