The champion boxer was arrested Thursday following an 'impromptu' hearing.
But it reported that the judge who handled the hit-and-run case threatened last month to have Davis, who lives in Florida, serve his sentence in jail if he could not find a place to stay in Baltimore for the 90 days. The paper reported that Davis was supposed to be staying “locally” with his trainer, Calvin Ford.
The 28-year-old Davis is a Baltimore native. He’s not big — listed at just taller than 5-foot-5 — but he is one of the most feared knockout artists in boxing. Davis just moved to 29-0 with 27 knockouts in late April with a win over Ryan Garcia.
