Roosevelt offensive coordinator Matthew Manning has been named Brackenridge’s new head football coach, San Antonio ISD announced Friday afternoon.
Manning replaces Larry Norman, who stepped down to become the athletic director at Fort Sam Houston ISD. Manning was the first assistant for the Rough Riders for 10 seasons. Prior to that, he was the offensive coordinator for six years at Waco University High School. At Roosevelt, Manning headed an offense that gained 915 total yards during a game in 2015. He wants to implement a high-powered offense at Brackenridge.
