Twitter users questioned why the president would bother sharing a poll from the alt-right website, while others pointed out some very different poll results released this week.
However, the source of the poll shared by Trump was called into question by numerous users on the social media site, with radio show host Dean Obeidallah commenting:"LOL!!! I'm surprised that many Breitbarters took off their hoods to vote"
Others also jumped in slamming Breitbart for its views, with writer and comedian Nick Jack Pappas adding:"It's official. 97.83% of White Supremacists stand with Trump." "Trump is promoting a 97% approval rating. From a Facebook poll. By Breitbart," @JoeMyGod wrote, while another user pointed out that the Los Angeles Police Department were so unhappy with one of their recruitment ads appearing on Breitbart that they were investigating, while the president was sharing their polls.
As well as Twitter users questioning why the president would share a poll from such a notorious website, others called into question the validity of the poll when compared with a recent CNN poll conducted by SSRS that shows 47 percent of people back impeachment—a jump from the 41 percent of respondents who felt that way in May this year.
