When a Florida woman announced on TikTok that she married her stepdad in Las Vegas – and it was “the best decision” she ever made – it sent shockwaves across the platform. In reality, the older groom was actually her deceased brother’s best friend. The two bonded over their loss and eventually fell in love.
So why the hoax? Christy told The Post that she “wanted to prove that everyone will be upset and believe anything they see on the internet nowadays.” The newlyweds’ prank ended up getting a lot of backlash on TikTok, which our host, Asia Grace, calls the “Wild Wild West” where everyone is trying to go viral, for better or worse.
