Brooklyn Made Presents has signed on as the exclusive booker for New Orlean’s 1,200-capacity Civic Theatre.
Promoter Brooklyn Made Presents is expanding to the South with an exclusive booking deal with the Civic Theatre in New Orleans. The 1,200-capacity Civic is considered the oldest performance theaters in New Orleans. The theater shuttered in the 1990s and reopened in 2013 after a $10 million renovation.. The Civic was previously booked by Bowery Presents.in a release.
The Civic will become the fourth venue on Brooklyn Made’s roster. The independent promoter already works with The United Palace and CMAC in New York, as well as their flagship venue Brooklyn Made in the Bushwick neighborhood. “I couldn’t be more thrilled to be booking the Civic Theatre with Charlie,” commented Makes. “We have been massive fans of this venue since Bryan brought it back to life in 2013. We look forward to continuing to bring the best artists to this unbelievable venue that is second to none in New Orleans.”
Upcoming shows at Theatre include Billy Strings, Colter Wall, Mitski and Dropkick Murphy’s, with additional bookings to be announced in the coming weeks., the promoter’s flagship multi-purpose venue in New York. Brooklyn Made is connected to a restaurant and bar called Connie’s and next to a café called Standing Room which doubles as a tapas bar in the evenings. The building was acquired in 2020 by Makes, a former president of Live Nation New York and veteran of AEG and Bowery Presents.
