Photo: NBC Universal To quote a wise precinct captain: This ain’t no common bitch. Stewart, the corgi who portrayed Captain Holt’s adorable alpha-canine companion on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, has died at the age of 13.
Per EW, Stewart’s owner confirmed his passing on Instagram earlier this week, giving him one hell of a final day before being “peacefully” put to rest by a veterinarian: A trip to the beach with a swim session and In-N-Out Burger picnic. While Cheddar was played by a few different corgis throughout the show’s run, EW notes that Stewart served the longest tenure, first taking on the role in season four. Rest in woof, good doggo.
