Brooklyn detectives are looking for the subway brute who tapped a female straphanger on the shoulder and punched her on board an N train earlier this year.
The NYPD released on March 2 video footage of the perpetrator sought for the assault that occurred at 11:55 p.m. on Jan. 29 on board a Coney Island-bound N train approaching the 86th Street station in Gravesend.
According to law enforcement sources, the assailant approached the 40-year-old woman and began repeatedly tapping her on the shoulder. When the victim told him to stop, authorities said, the suspect went on the attack, punching her several times in the face. Police said he then disembarked the N train at the 86th Street station, then fled out of the stop in an unknown direction.and NYPD Transit District 34. Law enforcement sources said the victim was treated at the scene for a facial laceration and swelling to her jaw.
The video shows the suspect walking toward the turnstile at the station. He’s pictured wearing a black jacket and hooded sweatshirt, as well as a gray ski mask and gray pants. He also appears to be carrying a fanny pack slung over his left shoulder.
