Temperatures reaching into the low 80s are expected over the next few days.
for most of Pennsylvania that will be in effect until 8 p.m. Expect winds of 10 to 20 mph today, with gusts of up to 30 mph. This will create an increased risk for rapid wildfire growth and spread, the NWS warned. Planned burns may get out of control.
Affected counties include Perry, Dauphin, Schuylkill, Lebanon, Cumberland, Adams, York and Lancaster. Forecasters say Thursday and Friday will bring “June-like warmth and record challenging temperatures” in the mid 80s with mostly sunny skies. The next chance for rain will be on Saturday and Sunday, possibly between 2–8 p.m. Forecasters say a thunderstorm is possible for Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The rainy weekend will be followed by a “significant cooldown” into early next week, according to forecasters.
