Burglars damaged the storefront of a White Center grocery store while stealing an ATM early Monday.WHITE CENTER, Wash. — A neighborhood grocery and convenience store has major damage after burglars used a truck to rip an ATM out of the building.
Surveillance video shows that three people in a truck were at Shorewood Grocery on 26th Avenue Northwest in White Center at about 12:30 a.m. Monday. Within three minutes, a rope or chain was used to pull off the front door and then the ATM was pulled out, destroying part of the storefront.Since then, the cooler has been moved to help block part of the store where the wall was destroyed. A large portion of the storefront appears to be in place, but a closer look shows it is at least partially detached from the building.This story is developing.
