Sen. Dianne Feinstein , who will turn 90 later this year, said she won’t run for re-election, clearing the way for what is expected to be a fiercely competitive fight among fellow Democrats for her seat.
“I am announcing today I will not run for reelection in 2024,” she said in a statement. She said she intended to “to accomplish as much for California as I can through the end of next year when my term ends.”
