There was a bit of science behind Miss America's 2020 win.
With her passion for science and her goal of becoming a pharmacist, the 24-year-old has worked to inform others about drug safety and abuse prevention with an initiative she calls “Mind Your Meds.”
The pageant -- dubbed Miss America 2.0 -- was held in Uncasville, Connecticut, and candidates were critiqued and judged on talent, interview skills and public speaking. As the winner of Miss America, Schrier has earned scholarship money and will represent the mission of the Miss America Organization program to the public as well as advance the goals and objectives of the organization along with her own initiatives.
