Cannabis banking bill clears House Financial Services Committee
The House Financial Services Committee easily cleared a bill to provide a safe harbor for banks that work with the legal cannabis industry. The 45-15 vote allows the Secure and Fair Enforcement Banking Act to go to the House floor. Despite the clearance and strong chances for approval in the House of Representatives, the bill's prospects don't look as good in the Republican-controlled Senate.
