Female representation has been spottier in the last 24 years., received a CMA nomination for entertainer of the year. It's Underwood's second nom in that category. She was first nominated in 2016.In the CMAs' 53 years, the field of nominees for entertainer of the year has been all male 15 times. Most often, one female has been nominated.
Underwood is set to host the CMAs for the 12th year in a row. She will be joined this year by co-hosts
