Screen Rant is pleased to present an exclusive first look at a clip from the upcoming horror movie, The Flood. The film sees star Casper van Dien team up again with director Brandon Slagle , who previously worked together on the World War II film, Battle for Saipan. With a screenplay by Chad Law and Josh Ridgway , the film also stars Nicky Whelan and Louis Mandylor . The Flood will debut on demand and digital on July 14, 2023.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT In the middle of a prisoner transport, a major storm forces a change of course that sees a group of dangerous criminals temporarily housed in a small Louisiana jail. However, massive flooding in the middle of a swamp country and rising waters have led to a new danger for everyone. A group of massive alligators have followed the water into the building and now the prisoners and their guards might fight together for survival.
In the trailer for The Flood, the action starts quickly as the employees of a small country jail in rural Louisiana are preparing for a massive storm. Their plans are complicated by the arrival of a prisoner caravan that has been thwarted by the storm from completing its mission to transfer a group of dangerous criminals. The sheriff and her deputies quickly realize the prisoners are the least of their problems as the waters begin to rise and giant alligators descend on the prison.
The Flood is only the latest in an exciting 2023 slate of films released by Saban Films. January saw the release of The Old Way, a western starring Nicolas Cage. One of the final films featuring the late Anne Heche, Supercell, hit screens in March. Another film rounding out a career is Assasin, an action thriller starring Bruce Willis that was released on March 31.
