The group of suspects got away, police said.
CONCORD — A person who police said was one of many who were trying to steal a catalytic converter fired at least one shot at the owner of the car the group was targeting, police said.Police did not release a specific location, nor did they say how many suspects were part of the group.
According to police, a resident in the area saw several people attempting to swipe his catalytic converter. The suspects saw the man and immediately fled, police said. The victim followed, and police said one person in the group of suspects fired a shot that hit the victim’s car. He wasn’t injured.Police are continuing to investigate. They are asking for information and urged anyone who can help them to contact Det. Kevin Giacoletto at 925-671-3040 and refer to case No. 22-01468.
